on the hottest humidest day, after the ABCDEFM trains were all running with delays, i sat down and painted this beautiful scaffolded alley. it had some of the most vibrant color combinations ive seen in this area, and is my first composition in some time without any sky. orange and green hues together will always have my heart. and so will pavement shadows. i also enjoyed painting a silhouetted and well lit stop sign, it was an interesting exercise in color mixing for shadows and depth.
